About
Kyokushin Karate
Kyokushin karate follows traditional Japanese teaching and philosophies. Karate instils discipline whilst building confidence and respect for fellow students.
There is a lot more to Kyokushin karate than just fighting opponents, with self-defence, Kata speed and co-ordination to only name a few.
Come along yourself and see what we are all about. There's no need to have a Gi (karate suit) to start, just shorts and a t-shirt is completely welcome to start in.
There is no joining fee just pay when you train.
Shihan Lance McInnes - 7th Dan Black Belt
Shihan Lance McInnes is the head instructor of Bendigo and Central Victoria Kyokushin Karate training continuously for over 50 years. He is the only original student still training here in Bendigo from when the club was established in 1969.
The same techniques that Shihan Lance learns and trains in Japan, brings back here to teach his students.
Shihan is passionate about preserving the Kyokushin style, and is meticulous in ensuring that the techniques that were taught by Sosai Mas Oyama, the founder of the style is still taught today.
